Craft error on startup

Hi Hannah,

Craft has been working great for crafting kstars since you told me to blacklist kwallet, but just today an error appeared during the setup script for craft.

This command failed, where it has been working just fine for several weeks now:

wget <a href="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/KDE/craft/master/setup/CraftBootstrap.py" title="https://raw.githubusercontent.com/KDE/craft/master/setup/CraftBootstrap.py">https://raw.githubusercontent.com/KDE/craft/master/setup/CraftBootstrap.py</a> -O setup.py && python3.6 setup.py --prefix ${CRAFT_DIR}

I have attached two logs,

Thanks,

Rob

Runtime Error in K Turtle

Dear Team,

Translations

Hi Hannah,

Jasem was telling me today about a new translations feature that was implemented. He said there might be problems on Macs and Windows but that you are working on it. I tried his instructions and got partially there. I went to the directory I was building kstars. I used make fetch-translations and it acquired the po files. Then I did make and it made the mo files. Then I did make install and it put them into a subfolder called /share/locale. But it doesn’t show up in the program.

Some craft issues

Hi, this is Rob Lancaster. I have been working with the Mac version of KStars. We have been using an older version of craft because we have had problems with the latest version and I would like to correct them so we can use the latest version. We would like to have a fully automated script, since there are quite a few steps required for packaging up KStars and turning it into a dmg afterwards with all of the files and programs it needs. The goal is really to have the user just need to run one command and get a fully deployable dmg.

Craft split of recipes

Hi  there,

I have two things to announce.

1. Portage and recipes are now blueprints

2. When you upgrade Craft and you are wondering where all the blueprints
went call
        craft craft

The recipes are now located in the repository craft-blueprints-kde.

Blueprints are cloned to craftRoot/etc/blueprints/locations.

Happy Crafting!

Hannah

Splitting Craft, move the recipes to GitHub

Hi everyone,

We have been thinking about splitting the Craft recipes into a separate
repository for some time now.
To have a Craft core and the recipes separated would enable us to
provide more stable user experience.

Changing the default packager to NSIS?

Hi!

Creation of a proper installer has become much easier, recently, but I
think there is still room for improvement. The next item on my list for
this would be the choice of default packager (current 7z).

In summary: I propose changing the default to NSIS.

Some backgorund in case it is needed: Grepping the current
portage, there are 17 ports containing "createPackage". I _assume_ those
identical to the ports that are currently distributing or preparing
binaries.

Kompare on windows using craft

Craft Stable

Hi everyone,

We recently got a stable branch and will soon have KF5 binaries.
So basically we'll have a KF5 Windows SDK soon.
Regarding those binaries I created a poll[1] and I'd like you to participate.

Status of Krusader on Windows

Hi,

I'm involved in developing Krusader (KDE's twin-panel file manager) for some time now, so
it feels a bit strange for me to ask: What is the status of compiling/running Krusader on
Windows? Is there anybody out there who is successfully using it OR would be interested in
making this happen (again)?
There are some traces of a Windows port in the code but it's seems to be dead now for a
long time.

Craft in PowerShell, broken wget (because alias)

Hi,

this is what I get, when running craft in PowerShell according to:
<a href="https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Build_from_source/Windows" title="https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Build_from_source/Windows">https://community.kde.org/Guidelines_and_HOWTOs/Build_from_source/Windows</a>

This is most likely due to the aliasing of unix Tools in PowerShell, wget
-> Invoke-WegRequest etc.

problems trying to compile libpng-1.5.28

I've been struggling with this for a while now. During the compile
phase, I get the following errors:

[14/29] Building C object CMakeFiles/png.dir/pngread.c.obj
FAILED: CMakeFiles/png.dir/pngread.c.obj
R:\mingw\bin\gcc.exe -DPNG_BUILD_DLL -IR:/include -I.

issues with latest craft

I just tried using craft for the first time in several months, and have
run into a number of issues. Help or suggestions on any of them would
be appreciated. (I posted some of these to the IRC channel, but so far,
haven't seen any response.)

1) per an error message, I upgraded my python from 3.5 to 3.6. However,
I then got some messages about needing to set the python27 variable. Is
2.7 really needed in addition to 3.6?

Action: fetch for gnuwin32/wget FAILED when using craft on windows

I'm trying to install okular on windows using craft.

after type .\kdeenv.ps1:

KDEROOT : R:\
KDECOMPILER : mingw-w64
KDESVNDIR : R:\download\sv
KDEGITDIR : Q:\
DOWNLOADDIR : R:\download
PYTHONPATH : C:/KDE/python

then I typed craft okular, it says:

*** Handling package: wget, action: all ***
*** Action: fetch for gnuwin32/wget ***
The system cannot find the path specified.
Action: fetch for gnuwin32/wget FAILED
*** Craft all failed: all of gnuwin32/wget failed after 0:00:00 ***
fatal error: package gnuwin32/wget all failed

Am I doing it right to install okular?

Hi,

I just noticed that win32libs/wcslib doesn’t build.

Recent KAuth build failure in Craft on Mac

Hi, this is Rob Lancaster. I help out with KStars coding. I mainly have been porting it to mac with several other people. We have been using Craft/emerge for building it for deployment which has worked very well overall for several months (except for several problems that Hannah von Reth has helped us with). But just the other day, a build error showed up that had not happened before. KAuth failed to build, which is of course a dependency, causing our whole build to fail.
I don't have GLIBC on my system of course and this appears to be the source of the error.

perl package broken

Hey!

It seems like the perl package is broken as the download link is dead. It
also doesn't look like they distribute zip packages, anymore, just exe...
