cc1plus getting killed on ppc64le builds

cc1plus is getting killed consistently in build builds of paraview 5.7.0
on ppc64le for Fedora 30+:

{standard input}: Assembler messages:
{standard input}:2823342: Warning: end of file not at end of a line;
newline inserted
c++: fatal error: Killed signal terminated program cc1plus
compilation terminated.

Is there any way to check if this was due to an OOM condition?

other arches appear to be fine.

I've also filed <a href="https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1758932" title="https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1758932">https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1758932</a>
against gcc.

In my experience, that error is always the OOM killer.
