ACTION: systemd maintainers to identify and fix issue

3. <a href="" title=""></a>
ACTION: QA to verify the submitted fix uses F30 backgrounds

2. <a href="" title=""></a>
ACTION: libdnf maintainers to develop a solution that does not require
passing options when upgrading with modular repos enabled.

Bug-by-bug detail

Accepted blockers
<a href="" title=""></a> is
marked as fixing this in F30, but it’s not clear if an update is also
needed for the F29 package.

2. <a href="" title=""></a> - systemd - MODIFIED
gdm Fails to load with "nomodeset"

Patch to systemd upstream
(<a href="" title=""></a>) has been backported
but does not appear to address the issue for all scenarios (only UEFI
VM works. UEFI bare metal and BIOS for VM and metal still exhibit the
issue). Further investigation is required.

3. <a href="" title=""></a> - kde-settings - MODIFIED
Need kde-settings-30 with appropriate settings for F30, including
desktop background

Update <a href="" title=""></a> submitted.

Proposed blockers
Coordinated fixes for grub2 and systemd are in the works, however they
would only address new installs. Discussion is ongoing for how to
create a temporary workaround that would work for existing installs.

2. <a href="" title=""></a> - libdnf - NEW
System upgrades involving modular content require explicit
--setopt=module_platform_id to work correctly

Spun off from BZ #1656509. A solution to not require an option setting
is needed.

Still mdadm is not even compiling on current fc30.
So no one cares that upcoming fc30 will deliver binaries from fc29?

I don't care enough to apply the Debian fix, perhaps the maintainer does.
