System-settings as root

Is "kdesudo systemsettings" via the CLI the only to get root access to
the various modules of System Settings?

If so, pretty kludgy. I hope they fix it.

For me it's the only way because I get an error about some Python script dying
when I'm supposed to enter a password. I have filed a bug.

No.

Some things, like changing the time, will pop up a window prompting for your
password to run sudo.

I haven't run into anything I can't change just running system settings
normally.

I wanted to add some tasks to cron but the Task Scheduler does not ask
for the password if I select the System cron. And everything is
greyed out so I can't add any tasks.

Same here. Can you raise a bug on it.

Seems like it's already been done. --

One of them says it's been fixed (I don't believe it)

Also seems like this has been around a long time.
