auto.home in 14.04

Sir/Madam

I am have some trouble getting auto.home to work in ubuntu 14.04

My home directories are nfs exported.

In 12.04 I created an auto.home and added that to auto.master

However that does not work in 14.04.

I did have problems with nfs mounts also which I solved with

<a href="https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-an-nfs-mount-on-ubuntu-14-04" title="https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-an-nfs-mount-on-ubuntu-14-04">https://www.digitalocean.com/community/tutorials/how-to-set-up-an-nfs-mo...</a>

However this does not solve my auto.home issue

Therefore any help on how to mount my home space would be sincerely
appreciated.

Thanking you.

Yours sincerely

Can you please post the contents of your auto.* files?

It also would be helpful to run automount(8) manually and watch the output.

sudo service autofs stop
sudo automount -f -v

Hello

This problem has been solved

Running the

automount -f -v

I realized that auto.master was missing the link to auto.home

I had created auto.master as auto.master-home and I forgot to copy that
to the original auto.master

My mistake, which I should have checked before posting but I wanted to
post before I left on friday afternoon.

I was in a hurry and I didn't check, apologies - my fault.

Many thanks for your help
