How do I actaully get the current sources from centos-git?

I am trying to retrieve the srpm for the latest centos-release pacakge
from centos-git by following the instructions @ .

If I run the following commands:
git clone
cd centos-release/
git checkout c7

Everything completes without error. The problem is that the sources that get
downloaded are not for 1804.

(vgeppetto2 pts21) $ ll SOURCES/ SPECS/

Where can I find the 6.10 centos-release srpm?

Where can I find the srpm for centos-release-6-10.el6.centos.12.3.x86_64?

I looked in vault and it is not there.

Problem with cr repo.

I am having a problem with yum update from the cr repo.
Below is the output of yum:

libsmbclient conflict problem

I have a c-6 machine that I noticed the following on:

(bugs pts10) # package-cleanup --problems
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror, priorities, refresh-packagekit
Package system-config-printer-libs-1.1.16-26.el6.x86_64 requires
Package kdebase-runtime-libs-4.3.4-9.el6.x86_64 requires

So then I ran:

(bugs pts10) # yum install libsmbclient
Loaded plugins: changelog, fastestmirror, priorities, refresh-packagekit
Setting up Install Process
Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
* base: yumrepo
* extras: yumrepo
* fasttrack: yumrepo

Mate desktop configuration question

I am using Mate Desktop from EPEL on a C7.4 system with multiple desktops

Does anyone know how to force alt tab to only switch between applications
on the current desktop?

Currently it seems that it picks some random app from another desktop that
I was on previously (most time the browser).

I only want it to chose from apps on the current desktop. It used to work
they way that I want but when I upgraded to 7.4 it broke.

I seem to remember when I built this machine there was a check box somewhere
to control that behavior but I cannot find it.

RDP for Centos 7

Does anyone know of a good program for doing RDP to windows servers on C-7?

The "Remote desktop viewer" program that comes with C7 is not reliable for me.
I frequently have multiple long running RDP sessions and the keyboard
will stop responding. The only way I can find to get it started again is to
restart the program and login to the servers again.

In addition, I cannot find a way to make copy and paste work.

On the plus side, I like the way Remote desktop viewer displays the desktops
in tabs.

Unable to map more than 4 workspaces to keyboard shortcuts on C7.

I have a new install of c7 with the gnome desktop. I run it with 12 workspaces.
Normally I create the shortcuts so that ctrl+f1 maps to workspace 1 ctrl+f2
maps to f2, etc. When I goto applications -> settings -> keyboard -> shortcuts
-> navigation, I only have the ability to define "Switch to workspace" 1
through 4.

centos-release srpm for 6.9

Is the centos-release srpm available anywhere? I do not see any srpms in vault.

C 7.3 sshd will not reload

Since upgrading to 7.3 I am having a problem getting sshd to reload after
configuration changes.

yum update pulls in lvm-cluster on 7.3

I ran "yum update" this morning on a 7.2 machine with all of the cr updates
applied to it and yum wants to install lvm-cluster and a bunch of deps.

7.3 srpms

Can someone tell me when the 7.3 srpms will be available?

They are usually in vault but I do not see them at this time.

I need the centos-release srpm ASAP.

centos 7 iscsi saveconfig doesn't

I am working to get iscsi running using targetcli. So far everything seems to be
working except for the fact that when I run saveconfig, exit the targetcli shell
and reboot, the iscsi configs are gone. If I run restoreconfig, the
configuration gets reloaded and all is well.

Can someone tell me how to get the targetcli configuration to persist through
a reboot?

Any ETA when the SRPMS for C5.10 will be available? In particualr I am looking

is empty.

Yum errors

I have a machine that recently had some file system corruption.

Can someone tell me when the 6.4 srpms are going to appear in vault?

adb Samsubg note 2 and centos6

Has anyone figured out how to mount a Samsung note 2 on Centos 6?

How do boot a xen domu into run level 1

I have a C5.8 machine with several DomU's. I fubared the fstab on one of them
and I need to get it into single user mode.

Does anyone know how to do that? I tried adding single to the extras line
in /etc/xen/machine_name but it still tries to start in level 3.

To make things worse, the root partition is on LVM.

Alternatively, does anyone know how to access the image from DomU? I tried
to use kpartx but when I run VGscan, I do not get the lvm activated.

LibreOffice does not start

I just upgraded to C-6.3. Since the upgrade when I try to start LibreOffice
I get the following error: "The application cannot be started. A general
error occurred while accessing your central configuration."

I tried running it from both the command line and the application menu.

If I run it as root it starts up normally.

Google says a lot of people are having the problem but there do not seem to
be any useful solutions.

Has anyone solved this problem?

pam and radius config problem

I am trying to configure ssh/pam to use freeradius as one of the authentication
sources on a C6 box.

I have freeradius running on a separate box with 2 factor authentication.
Using the radtest utility, I can successfully authenticate.

centos-release 5.7 srpm where?

Is the centos-release srpm for 5.7 available anywhere. I have looked at several
mirrors but no srpms are to be found.

I realize everyone is busy but it would be nice to have at least the srpms
that were specific to the centos project with the release.

Any update on c 6.1?

Just curious. Also any idea when rpm will start to show up in the 6.0 cr repos?

Anaconda install groups vs yumgroups?

In looking at the C6 installer there are several types of installs listed.
In the past I could do an install and anaconda would tell me what yumgroups
it installed via the anaconda.cfg that was dropped in /root.

with c6 anaconda still drops this file but none of the yumgroups are listed.

Is there a way to determine what yumgroups a particular install group installs?

For instance if I do a server install which groups actually get installed?

I am thinking there is something in the anaconda source but so far I am
unable to find it and Google is not useful.

Is this info listed anywhere?
