orphaning and retiring some packages

I am orphaning certain packages and retiring some others that are no
longer needed.

Packages being **orphaned**

fityk (depends on cmpfit)
cmpfit (fityk is dependent on this)
rarian
csmith
python-cclib

Unfortunately, I fell behind in maintaining these packages (particularly
csmith and cclib). These will need to be updated.

Package being **retired**

SuperLU43

This was brought into Fedora SuperLU as a compat package.

libqalculate soname change

I will be updating libqalculate to the latest upstream release (v2.2.1).
This involves a soname change. The following packages are affected.

plasma-workspace
step
cantor
qalculate-kde

I have built all these packages for rawhide and F28 in a COPR [0]. Since
we have the same versions on both rawhide and F28, I hope to push
libqalculate to both and rebuild all these packages.

If building for F28 is not preferred, please let me know.

planning to orphan 4 packages

I am planning to orphan the four packages (list below) in a few days. If
anyone is interested in maintaining these packages, I can make you the
person admin instead of orphaning.

These are the packages -

autodocksuite
gaussum
qmforge
webcpp

These packages have very little to no development upstream.

group "hardware support" in anaconda

I noticed in comps that the group "hardware support" is set to false under <user visible> tag. This group is also not shown as "add ons" for minimal installation in anaconda.

Why is the group hidden? Can we show "hardware support" group in Anaconda (non-live installers, of course)? Installing this group is the easiest way to get wireless network access on laptops.

Thanks,
Mukundan.

upcoming libqalculate soname bump

I will be updating libqalculate and qalculate-gtk for rawhide on
Tuesday. This will involve libqalculate soname bump.

The following packages will be affected -

cantor
step
plasma-workspace
qalculate-kde

I have setup COPR for building against the update library [1]. Packages
other than step build without problems.

I will push libqaculate to rawhide on Tuesday (Sep 19, 2017) and will
submit pull requests for cantor, plasma-workspace and qalculate-kde.

package review request

Hello all,

I have a compat package that I would like to get reviewed.

Here is the link to the review -

<a href="https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1321440" title="https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1321440">https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1321440</a>

This is a compat package for SuperLU which I updated to v5.1 today. Some
of the packages that depend on SuperLU has version specific requires and
hence this compat package.

I am open to review swaps, of course.

Thanks,
Mukundan.

requesting help on fixing gcc-6 FTBFS

Hash: SHA512

Hi folks,

After the recent mass builds, I have a few packages that fail to build
from source. I have tried digging through the build logs to see if I
can fix them.

size of F17 install DVD

Could someone please tell me why the install DVD for F17 is smaller than
that for earlier releases. The install DVD is 2.3 GB whereas the one for
F16, for example, is 3.5 GB. Thanks.
