Atelier - KDE for 3DPrinting

Hi everyone,
In the last 4 months, I, Patrick Pereira and Chris Rizzitello started
Atelier, a 3DPrinting host to control 3DPrinters.
Now we have a good basis to start to talk a little more about this project
inside the community.
AtCore, our API to control the serial communication is stable and so
far, trustworthy.

Now we need to find more testers for this API, so if you have a 3DPrinter,
with an open source Firmware, and have the will to help us, please do.
For more information, you can find us on freenode #kde-atelier or on our
telegram group: telegram.me/KDEAtelier

Thanks for your attent

KDE.org Modernization

Hello guys, everything ok?
Last night I tried to read the KDE dot story about the KDE Advisor Board on
my smartphone and was very hard since kde.org isn't friend mobile.
For me, the KDE pages look like too static, and a dynamism could be a good
way to present KDE and make easy the life of the people that access the
site to find the information that they need.
A few weeks ago an ex GSoC student from Fossassia, Aayush Arora, reached me
out on facebook and asked me how he could contribute to KDE, and his skills
are with web development.
I'm a newbie in web development, so I don't know how hard wo

QVTKWidget x QVTKWidget2

Hi guys,
Yestarday i was able to get the code ReadSTL from VTK Wiki and convert to
use in my QtApp using QVTKWidget. But, this class is depreciade. So i'm
trying to use the QVTKWidget2.
Was told to me that i only need to this to make the code fom VTK Wiki works
on my code:

vtkRenderWindow* renderWindow = this->GetRenderWindow();

Using the class QVTKWidget the return of GetRenderWindow is the type
vtkRenderWindow, so its easy to solve.

Cmake error with VTK[Br-Print3D Project]

Hi folks! Good night!
I'm trying to compile my qt app with a new class with VTK, but this error
occurs and i dont find solution.
<a href="http://pastebin.com/dsvPDbdz" title="http://pastebin.com/dsvPDbdz">http://pastebin.com/dsvPDbdz</a>

The paths of files contents with vtk are:
/usr/local/lib/cmake/vtk-6.3
/usr/local/include/vtk-6.3

The CmakeLists.txt is:
<a href="http://pastebin.com/MGWihAHT" title="http://pastebin.com/MGWihAHT">http://pastebin.com/MGWihAHT</a>

I'm really lost! Any help?

Doubt Qt+VTK

Hi guys, good night.
I started study VTK today, to make the 3DView to Br-Print3D project.
So i made the class vtkWidget inherit from QVTKWidget to control the view.
How i need load STL files, i made a function to do that based on this
example from VTK Wiki (<a href="https://cmake.org/Wiki/VTK/Examples/Cxx/IO/ReadSTL" title="https://cmake.org/Wiki/VTK/Examples/Cxx/IO/ReadSTL">https://cmake.org/Wiki/VTK/Examples/Cxx/IO/ReadSTL</a>)
Now my doubt is how to convert this code to render on the vtkWidget instead
of
'

1. vtkSmartPointer<vtkRenderWindow> renderWindow =
2.
