Golang SIG primary goals?

Hey guys and gals,

Can we start to discuss this SIG goals?

Review swap, Perl flavored

Today is my first year anniversary of contributing to Fedora, yay us!

I've just proposed a Perl program to review:

Bug 1610554 - (perl-Crypt-HSXKPasswd) Review Request: hsxkpasswd - Secure
memorable password generator

A secure memorable password generator inspired by the wonderful XKCD
webcomic at <a href="" title=""></a> and Steve Gibson's Password Haystacks page

Mass rebuild, mass Golang packages failures

Since the mass rebuild and maybe because of Golang 1.11 beta 1, all the Golang
package containing a binary fail because the debuginfo are not generated:

RPM build errors:
error: Empty %files file /builddir/build/BUILD/rclone-1.42/
Empty %files file /builddir/build/BUILD/rclone-1.42/debugsourcefiles.list
Child return code was: 1

whereas it was working correctly before.

Has anyone any idea what is causing this and how it can be fixed?

Best regards,

Unannounced soname bump: toxcore

I accidentally soname bumped toxcore from to It was a minor patch release and I didn't anticipate the
soname change.

Affected package are utox and qtox (rpmfusion). They will be rebuilt shortly.

I don't expect anyone to be affected by it, since I'm the only maintainer of
the affected packages, but if you are please contact me.

Help needed for Reviews

I have a few Golang and Python packages that need review, any help

Looking for volunteers to review Golang packages

I'm looking for help to review a lot of Golang packages, 83 in total, that are
the results of unbundling rclone. They are made with the new standardized Go
packaging and should be fairly quick to review.

However there are a lot of inter dependents packages, sometimes circular, so I
would recommend the use of a custom mockconfig with fedora review containing
my rclone COPR to avoid any deps problem.

Review swaps

I'm looking for some help to review some Golang packages. These are all renamed packages to conform with the new Golang guidelines which standardizes package names.

Review swaps

Hello good folks,

A developer tasked me with packaging his small CLI tools so I have a few
reviews waiting. They are extremely trivial packages, often a simple Python
script or single C file.

Review swaps

I have a handful of packages that I'd like to be reviewed.

Review swaps

Hello fellow packagers,

I'd like to ask your help for a handful of reviews.

Review swaps

I've added a bunch of packages to review, I'll review yours in exchange of mine.
No Java or PHP packages as I'm not familiar with those.

Here is the list with each dependency:

── 1508034 Review Request: rssguard - Simple yet powerful feed reader
<a href="" title=""></a>

── 1508002 Review Request: uTox - The lightweight Tox client
│ <a href="" title=""></a>

├── 1507985 Review Request: libfilteraudio - Lightweight audio filtering library made
│ from webrtc code
│ https://

Review swap

Is anyone interested by a review swap? I'd like my package rclone [1] to be
reviewed (it's written in Golang). Except php and Java with which I'm not
familiar, I think I can handle anything else.

Best regards,

Display bug of programs using qt5-qtquickcontrols2 5.9.1

On Fedora 27, the programs using qt5-qtquickcontrols2 do not display icon or

There are very few programs using qt5-qtquickcontrols2, one of them is plasma-

Golang packages snapshot versionning

When packaging Golang librairies we often use development snapshots instead of
releases. In such case there is two conflicting guidelines regarding

- the "main" Guidelines that says the version should be YYYYMMDD<scm><revision>
Cf: <a href="" title=""></a>

- the Go Draft Guidelines that says the vesrion should just be <scm><revision>
without any date.
Cf <a href="" title=""></a>

Which one supersedes the other?

I need your reviews

After reviewing near 50 packages recently, I'd really like if anyone
could also review a few of my packages which are sitting around.
Of course, I'm open to review swaps, so if you have an old package that
have been waiting for a review too, please contact me.

Currently, I have waiting:
- intel-hybrid-driver: This enables VP9 decoding ability on Skylake/Kabylake
