Desktop Sharing

I opened Krfb Desktop Sharing once just to take a look at it and now I get
invitation forms every time I boot -- one more each time I reboot. I'm up
to 3 now. Any idea how to turn this "feature" off?

kde-pwmanager

Apparently pwmanager has been dropped from Karmic Koala. All I could find
was a source tarball, but it won't make because kde-config is missing. I
suspect that it is obsolete also. I have all my passwords stored in
pwmanager. Any suggestions how to recover them?

Problems with 9.04 -> 9.10 upgrade

As the upgrade completed, I think I saw a message flash by about a Plasma
crash. In any case, the login screen appears, but when I try to log in, the
background appears, the desktop tries to draw the desktop folder, and then
it all disappears. I get the X cursor and then I am back at KDM. In short,
it is not possible to log in. I did a clean install on a spare disk and
copied over the .kde hierarchy so that I could at least run Knode to send
this message. After googling, I conclude that no one else has experienced
the same problem with the upgrade.

KVM on Kubuntu 9.04

Is anyone using KVM on Kubuntu 9.04? The preferred installation for KVM
includes virt-manager and virt-viewer, which are apparently GTK
applications. I was planning to run Ubuntu in a VM using KVM in part to
keep my Kubuntu machine free of GTK components. Should I not care about
the pollution of Kubuntu? Are there better options for running a VM on
KDE?

No Knode in Kontact

In KDE4, KNode is no longer in Kontact. Is there a way to view news as
feeds? I presume that the "demotion" of KNode reflects waning utility.
So what are we supposed to be using?

Printing color images doesn't work

When I print a color image (KDE 3.5.10, Kubuntu 8.10) using Gwenview or
KolourPaint, the colors are wrong. The printed image looks yellowish and
grainy. The test page that I get from CUPS looks fine. If I print the
image from Windows to the same printer, it looks fine (even though I'm
going through Samba). Any idea what might be wrong?

Kmail wants localhost

Ever since I was forced to do a hot reset, Kmail has been complaining that
it cannot connect to host localhost. I don't have an account for
localhost, so I'm not sure what it's referring to. I do have a localhost
entry in /etc/hosts, but somehow I don't think that's what it's referring
to. I grepped in .kde/share/apps/kmail. Nothing there. Any ideas?
