iTunes

Is there a program that runs on Ubuntu 9.1 that is comparable with iTunes?

Ubuntu 9.1 and sound...

I had upgraded from 9.04 to 9.1. While I had problems with my video and
sound in the beginning, that was corrected, and my sound and video was
doing great, except for some hissing and crackling in the sound.

Now that I've upgraded, my video seems to be working sporadically, it
doesn't work at times on YouTube.

Ubuntu and Magic Jack

Since coming to Ubuntu, I can't use my Magic Jack telephone connection.
Can anyone assist in helping me get this working?

SOUND - low volume or rough n scratchy

I have Jaunty, and I've gotten sound now, which you all have been so
kind so as to help figure out, however, while my sound is working, and
it WAS working well at first, it's not wanting to work well now.

I was sent a link by Irving, who said to "check
https://help.ubuntu.com/community/OpenSound" but while I deeply
appreciate the link and the information that is so complete, it's got so
much apt-get(ting), removing, and other things, I'm almost leery that
I'll do something worse. I'd prefer to use that as a last resort.

Setting Up a Router:

I have Ubuntu 9.04 (Jaunty), and a Linksys Wiureless-G Broadband Router,
model number WRT54G2 V1

I can't seem to get my system to recognize it. My old Windows Computer
sees it fine, but not Ubuntu.

I have absolutely no idea what to do here. Any suggestions?

CUPS Printer Support Not Working...

I'm using the Jaunty Jackalope.

I tried to use my XSane Image Scanning program, which had worked, and
got a "No devices available" error.

I looked at the printer configuration at System/Administration/Printing
which says the printer is "Not Connected"

When I try the Printing Troubleshooter, I get the following: "CUPS
Service Stopped" Below this, it says "The CUPS print spooler does not
appear to be running.

Sound System Failure - Or Deaf Old Man...

I'm using Ubuntu 9.04, the Jaunty Jackalope... or Crusty
Cockroach.... :)

I loaded the 8.04 and it suggested the new 9.04.... so I did. I
noticed that it does sounds for KNetWalk and a couple of other things,
but when I play a YouTube video, it does nothing. I had to load a
program (I forget which one), so the videos would play...
