I have kubuntu 9.1 AMD 64 bit installed and I want to install any program that can play real media files on 64 bit

hello all,
The '.rar' extention in the Archiving tool "Ark" is not functioning properly. It is not extracting, compressing nor opening or archiving .rar files saying "failed to locate program 'unrar' in path"

is there a way to format and partition the drives and usb flash disks from Kubuntu??

I just installed Kubuntu and need codecs and steps to get the video's to work

I want to convert from NTFS to ext3 to be able to install Kubuntu and make it work.

I recently tried Kubuntu through windows(wubi) and I want to permanently install it but i have some questions please,

1-when it was installing through wubu it came to the part of installing apps.(80%) and gave an error so i skipped
2-should I convert the file system to ext3 or ext4 and NTFS is not possible?
3 If I did this file system conversion or format will I loose anything If I did applied this to a separate drive other than that which has all the needed data and the drive for windows?

Is there Arabic support for Kubuntu?

I want to install Kubuntu 9.10 and I want to know:

1-can I have it installed on a drive and windows xp on another drive and they would work normally?

2-some drivers are not present for linux like those of Abit and creative Audigy2 zs.what can I do to fix this?

3-the security issues and security system programs what are the safety issues?

4-I'm a windows user and I want to try Kubuntu will i find driver problems and difficulties?
